Financial sponsorship is critically important to helping more families find strength, stability and self-reliance. Sponsor organizations work side by side with partner families realizing the dream of homeownership.
Why sponsor a project?
Sponsor organizations have the opportunity to involve their employees in positive team-building experience. Teams are strengthened by working together to accomplish a goal. Churches benefit from the opportunity to put their faith into action. Neighborhoods are impacted by positive transformation and development. Individual families are given the opportunity to purchase a home and live in community with their neighbors. Perhaps most significantly, the contribution made by the sponsor impacts generations in the future. Houses become homes, and those homes will be a presence in the community for generations to come
Sponsors can partner with Habitat in a variety of ways, such as:
- Sponsoring a full house build,
- A partial house build, or
- Individual build day,
- Senior or veteran home repair, (actual repairs completed by skilled contractors, not volunteers, due to nature of work such as roofing)
- Land purchases,
- Full home rehabs, or
- In-kind sponsorship of building supplies or materials
House sponsors are entitled to reserved days for their own recruited construction volunteers and work side-by-side with our crew members and the future homeowner family.
