Ambassador Program

Become a Habitat Ambassador

Why we need you

Habitat for Humanity has been working for decades towards providing decent, affordable housing across the world.

Ambassadors speak out about local housing policies to help Habitat continue building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Becoming a Habitat Ambassador means taking on new challenges, creating community outreach projects, and being a voice for Habitat in your community.

Cost of Home

Affordable housing is one of the most important issues facing communities today.

For example, the median sales price of a home in Cobb County was $360,000 in September 2021. To qualify for an FHA loan at $360,000 , you need a household income of $75,276. But in 2021, half of Cobb households earned less than $77,932 per year. Teachers, police officers, fire fighters, retired U.S. Veterans and others who play important roles in our community can’t afford to live where they serve.

Local housing policies prevent Habitat from building the affordable housing that our residents need. Ambassadors can be the voice of change!
