Our affordable housing ministry is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors. These businesses, faith-based organizations, civic groups, schools, and individuals, together help accomplish Habitat’s mission: “Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.” In Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding counties, we enact this mission by partnering with the community in building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Sponsors can partner with Habitat in a variety of ways, such as:
- Sponsoring a full house build,
- A partial house build, or
- Individual build day,
- Senior or veteran home repair, (actual repairs completed by skilled contractors, not volunteers, due to nature of work such as roofing)
- Land purchases,
- Full home rehabs, or
- In-kind sponsorship of building supplies or materials
House sponsors are entitled to reserved days for their own recruited construction volunteers and work side-by-side with our crew members and the future homeowner’s family.
We create opportunities for house sponsors to foster teamwork and camaraderie within their organizations and their volunteers experience a true sense of accomplishment when the home is complete and enjoy participating in the home dedication.
