COBB EMC COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FUNDS ROOF REPAIR FOR MABLETON SENIOR CITIZEN

(April 18, 2019) Mableton, GA— NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce that The Cobb EMC Community Foundation has stepped in to provide funding for a critical roof repair for a senior citizen in Mableton.

Patricia Adams reached out to Habitat after her roof collapsed and she was living in very difficult, substandard conditions. Through the generous donation, contractor MRS Roofing was able to install the new roof on Thursday.

“There are more than 180,000 seniors over the age of 55 living in Cobb County Georgia; and many of them live on a limited fixed income,” said Jessica Gill, CEO of NW Metro Atlanta Habitat.

“Habitat’s mission is to help individuals in need have warm, safe, dry shelter. There is a huge need in our county to help our seniors with repairs they simply can’t afford. We have willing volunteers and affordable contractors mobilized, but we can’t do it without funding from our generous corporate partners like the Cobb EMC Community Foundation.”
