The annual coalition uses the motto, ‘We Build to Coexist, We Coexist to Build’. “While this year’s build presented some issues due to the pandemic, for 20 years, this group has persevered and remained committed to the cause of setting up a family for a better future in our community,” said Henry Hene, CIHC co-chair and Habitat board of directors’ member.  “We seek to serve as an example of unity and service by bringing together organizations and people from different backgrounds and faiths for a common purpose.” Paul Wilson also serves as co-chair.

Future Homeowner Lynette is a single mother of one elementary age son with autism learning disabilities. Lynette has worked extremely hard to become a Habitat homeowner. She says becoming a homeowner means independence and freedom.

“A secure home changes outcomes for a family. This hardworking mother will now be able to provide a safe environment for her son’s education and their future goals and dreams,” said Jessica Gill, CEO, Habitat of Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta.
