Neil Kessler is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army. Neil is on full disability as a result of service-related injuries. Neil reached out to NW Metro Atlanta Habitat because his physical limitations prevent him from maintaining his house, and he needed assistance with extensive roof repairs to keep his wife and young children warm, safe and dry.
The Habitat team reached out to Owens Corning Roofing and they have answered the call! Findlay Roofing, an Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Contractor, generously installed a new roof for the Kessler family on September 25 as a part of the “Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project”.
“We’ve installed close to 55,000 roofs and this will be the most memorable,” said Steve Findlay, President of Findlay Roofing. “Neil and his family are more than deserving of a new roof and a home that’s safe, warm and dry.”
Owens Corning Roofing and its network of independent Platinum Contractors, along with support from the Owens Corning Foundation, are donating roofing materials and labor to replace roofing shingles on the homes of military veterans and their families throughout the country.
“Veterans sacrifice so much for all of us they deserve our help in return,” said Jessica Gill, Interim President/CEO at NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
