Join Habitat of NW Metro Atlanta as we have a year full of fun activities for children of all ages. Through hands-on or virtual activities, you can learn about construction and home improvement! Check back monthly to find out more about each of these activities. The full youth calendar is available here.
As you and your family complete these activities, we want to hear from you! Participants who complete at least 5 activities will receive a prize! Photos of completed projects can be sent to volunteers@habitatnwma.org.

Youth Activity Calendar 2025
This family-friendly game of bingo allows you to get outside, get some exercise and see your community though a new lens.
Habitat evaluates potential partner communities, through researching the neighborhood’s sense of community, willingness to work together, and ability to sustain ongoing projects and advocacy efforts. Our affiliate focuses on seven categories within potential communities:
- Amenities
- Economic opportunities
- Education
- Health
- Housing
- Safety
- Transportation
We bet you can find some of these important components of a strong community in your neighborhood! Print one of our bingo cards and grab some friends and family to start discovering what makes your community strong.
Time: 20 minutes
Build-A-Birdbath is a Habitat – At Home project that combines building and beautification to enrich youth with hands-on engagement. This activity is recommended for children ages 10 or older. Adult supervision is required since this activity involves the use of power tools!
The Build-A-Birdbath project will liven up any outdoor garden space. Simply print the instruction document down below and begin. Tag Habitat of NW Metro Atlanta on social media so we can see your finished works!

Habitat of NW Metro Atlanta is offering a summer reading list to bring awareness about the housing crisis to children. Choose an age-appropriate book to start the conversation and learning process with your children about housing and housing insecurity. All these titles can be found at your local Cobb libraries!
Grab some chalk and get creative to raise awareness about housing inequality in Georgia with the Build-A-Stat stencils! Simple print and cut out your stencil and then your are ready to take it to the sidewalk. Share these important statistics in your neighborhood so that your community can learn about what is happening within the housing sector.
