Court-ordered Community Service

Court-ordered community service hours are offered at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Smyrna from Tuesday to Saturday.

Court-ordered community service participants must:

  • complete a background check in our system – the cost is $19.
  • complete a minimum of 24 hours in our program.
  • provide contact information for the probation officer, lawyer, or other point of contact related to their community service requirements.

Poor conduct or performance may result in dismissal from the program and reporting to law enforcement or the judicial system.

Habitat does not provide community service hours for the following charges:

  • Any felony charge
  • Sex crimes
  • Crimes against children
  • Assault and battery
  • Theft, robbery, and shoplifting
  • Drug related crimes

Volunteers who have these records on their background check may be ineligible to participate.
