Leonard Hughes is a 63-year-old U.S. Army Veteran who lives in Douglasville with his wife Priscilla. During his time in the Army, he was a combat engineer who did construction jobs and built bridges. Following a medical discharge from the Army, he worked for the U.S. Postal service for 15 years until he no longer able to work.
Desiring to be closer to Priscilla’s family, the couple relocated seven months ago to Douglasville. The house they bought was in desperate need of a new HVAC system. “When we moved in it was cold, air was coming through the windows,” said Leonard. “All the dirty air in the basement crawl space was coming through whole house.”Thanks to the Home Depot Foundation, we were able to provide a new HVAC system and new windows throughout the house. “After everything was fixed we can breathe comfortable,” said Leonard. “Thank you very much to Home Depot for all you have done. We really appreciate all you do for the Veterans.”
