On Saturday, September 19, 2026, we proudly kicked off a new home build with house sponsor Catholics 4 Habitat.
For our future homeowners, OJ and Chiquita, this home represents a brand new foundation. Volunteers joined the future homeowners on-site to hammer the first nails and raise the walls.
Catholics 4 Habitat is our longest-serving coalition. This is their 51st home build in partnership with the affiliate. The coalition includes many churches, including Holy Family Catholic Church, Catholic Church of St. Ann, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Catholic Church of the Transfiguration.
Longstanding partnerships like this have been vital to our expansion and ability to build homes, communities, and hope as our affiliate has grown over four decades. Their commitment to this mission continues to open the door to new opportunities for our homeowners. Their presence continues to give this invaluable hand up to families.
We extend a big thank you to Catholics 4 Habitat and all our volunteers who helped kick-start this home build and move this family one step closer to a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.
