In late June, we were joined on-site by the Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition as we kicked off this year’s partnership building homes, communities, and hope in NWMA.
Volunteers from various religious and corporate organizations helped hammer the first nails and raise the walls for David, La’Vonda, and their growing family. These early stages of the build represent meaningful progress toward a safe, stable place where the family can build strength and opportunity for the years ahead.
We are deeply grateful for the continued commitment of the Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition. Their motto, “We Build to Coexist; We Coexist to Build,” continues to reflect the shared purpose and unity that defines this partnership. This build marks the Coalition’s 26th home.
When this coalition comes together to build alongside a future homeowner, there is an unmatched energy resulting from the collective commitment to put faith into action. This response is at the heart of Habitat’s mission, and impacts the larger community of NW Metro Atlanta.
What made Sunday even more special was a thoughtful surprise from Rabbi Lebow of Temple Kol Emeth, who treated all volunteers to an ice cream truck visit. This was a perfect break on a hot build day.
