Catholics 4 Habitat Coalition to Build 50th Home

The Catholics 4 Habitat Coalition is set to build its 50th home this September in Austell!  The coalition has never missed a year of building in its 32 years of existence. The house will be built for future homeowner Linette.

In 2023, the Coalition built two homes side-by-side. “This group is our affiliate’s oldest coalition,” says Jessica Gill, CEO, Habitat for Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta. “Their dedication and love for one another and our community is an inspiration.”

The 2024 Coalition includes: Holy Family Catholic Church, Catholic Church of St. Ann, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church and Catholic Church of the Transfiguration.

Kevin Reilly, Board of Directors member and Coalition Chair says, “Catholics 4 Habitat Coalition loves serving our community and living out our faith through the act of building for a family in need.”

Mike Christian, served as long-time Chair before turning over the reins to Kevin. The other members of the Coalition board include Kevin Dunn, Bart Henderson, Carla Peterson, Kevin Finnegan, Mike Meehan, Theresa Mulhair and Jim Nee.
