Chip In for Habitat Raises over $30,000

Golfers teed off for a good cause at the Fifth annual Chip In For Habitat Golf Tournament on Oct. 5 at Brookstone Golf and Country Club in Acworth. The golf tournament raised money for Northwest Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, the local affiliate of the international organization that promotes affordable housing.

Despite the rain, over 130 players came to support NW Metro Atlanta Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes in Cobb, Douglas and Paulding counties. The tournament raised $32,000 where all the proceeds will go towards building more homes in the tri-county areas.

Sponsors and volunteers made the event a success and the community can get involved with next year’s event to continue raising money for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat. The affiliate also seeks volunteers for its builds and other events throughout the year.

Founded in 1986, NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity has built over 400 homes for Cobb, Douglas and Paulding County families.
