Ward Irvin, the local Thrivent representative, made an event out of his announcement that our affiliate was awarded a Thrivent Builds grant for 2016. Arriving in the early afternoon laden with t-shirts, calendars, a balloon and cake he announced the award. Most of the staff was on hand for his exciting news, which brought cheers and smiles.
Thanks to each of the local Thrivent representatives, the Lutheran Coalition and our board treasurer, Mike Christian, for the roles they played in our affiliate’s successful application for these needed funds. It’s going to be a great build starting in March right in Marietta.
